Sound absorption materials are typically produced by open-celled and flexible foam materials. Low-density (10 - 35 kg/m3) are often used.
They are typically used as surface lining for driver's cabins, noise barriers, sound locks, internal walls, and in other situations where improved acoustics (reverberation time) is needed.
The materials from B6 Akustik can be supplied with or without a surface coating, and with or without adhesives, depending on the intended use and foam quality.

In situations, where the sound insulation material must be 100% waterproof, it is recommendable to treat the edges with a so-called B6 edge seal.
This seal consist of an applied fluid and flexible rubber skin that remains flexible even after hardening.
